Need Help with Baby Girl Name: Spelling (With Poll)

Ok, so DH and I are still undecided on whether our DD will be named Zoe, Chloe or Quinn. Zoe is DH's #1 pick. I love the name but have a reservation that I am hoping you ladies can help me with.

My first name is Gabrielle. Most people call me Gabi. My entire life, people have misspelled and mispronounced my first name AND my nick name! Chat Icon Chat Icon I was always correcting people and frankly, it was friggin annoying!! So, my question to all of you is... if we go with the name Zoe, how should we spell it?

My first pick is Zoë but what kid needs to have punctuation in their name? The next pick would be Zoe, but I fear that for her entire life people will call her 'Zoe' rhyming with 'Toe' and she'd be stuck in the same boat as I have been!! The last choice is to spell it Zoey. This one by far, is the easiest. There is no question as to how to spell and pronounce this name. BUT... I hate that it was the name of a show (Zoey 101) esp. since the lead character got knocked up at such a young age Chat Icon and I feel like spelling it 'Zoey' is not how it is intended. KWIM? Please share your opinions... Chat Icon Chat Icon

I personally like Chloe. Zoe is very nice, but the punctuation is not easy for a child and Zoe could be mispronounced and Zoey is adorable, but was also, if I remember correctly a Sesame Street character (not that it should stop you if you like it)

I love Zoe, if i used it, i would use the punctuation..BUT we had Khloe on our list too...spelled with a K and WITH the punctuation over the "e"..
I LOVE different names..and my name has been misspelled my whole life, never bothered me at all.
And its mispronounced ALL the time.

Without knowing your last name, I would go with Quinn. I really like Reilly and Quinn together. My next choice would be Chloe because I see what you're saying with the spelling of Zoe. I have a hispanic first name that has ALWAYS been mispronounced and mispelled and I agree that it IS annoying. I only became ok with it as an adult. If I had to choose, I'd go with Zoe with the punctuation, knowing that most people would spell it without the punctuation.

To make it easy... my last name is Nolan. I love Quinn too, but I think that it sounds a little weird with my last name. But, I agree that it sounds great with DD#1's name, Reilly. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I love both Chloe and Zoe. I think everyone will know how to pronounce Zoe. I like Zoe with or without the punctuation. I know someone who just named their baby Zoey. When I heard the name, I thought it was really cute. when I saw the spelling, I said (to myself), oh, I thought it would be Zoe. And I like Zoe better. I don't dislike Zoey--just like Zoe better.

Me neither and the same would then go for Chloe, Chloë or Chloey.

Because you would never think Chloe sounds like "Chloe" rhymed with toe.

I like both Zoe and Chloe Chat Icon

I prefer Chloe. If you go with Zoe, I like the spelling I typed. If I saw "Zoe", I would think "Zo-ee" was the pronunciation. I don't care for the spelling "Zoey."
