Need help with Big Girl room
My DD is almost 22 months old, but DS is due to arrive in December. Her nursery is yellow, so we figured we would move her into a bigger bedroom and put the baby right into the nursery. My DD loves her crib, but Dh refuses to buy a second crib. So, I have to move DD to a bed before DS outgrows the bassinet. By then she might be ready for it.
Here's the issue:
We have a full size bed in our spare bedroom. I wanted to buy DD a twin so she has more room to play in there. Dh thinks it is nuts to buy a bed when we already have one. I know we are trying to save money, but would you put a 26-27 month old in a full size bed?

Re: Need help with Big Girl room
I am buying full sized beds for both my kids but their rooms are big and they have a separate playroom and a finished basement.
How big is the room? What is the layout? Will the bed interfere with window placement etc.? Does she have any other area to play?
Those are the questions that I'd be thinking of.

I'd stick with the bed you have. It's one less bed to buy when they're older. It's also less room for her to fall off if it's bigger.

I don't think there is anything wrong with keeping the full size-it could be nice if you have company too.
DD is going into her big girl room soon too and we were debating the same thing as we do have a full size bed she could use. We ultimately decided to get her a twin so she has more room.

I agree AND disagree. They are right, but it just seems odd for a small child to be in that size of a bed. That's my only disagreement though since you already own the bed.
