need help with ideas pls!!
my stepdaughter will be 16 in march...she doesn't want the big sweet sixteen party. what can we do instead??? TIA!

Maybe take her best friends or a few girls into the city or somewhere, rent a hotel room with them and do a spa/manicure or massage thing as a group? (kinda like a sleep over) - you can call room service, order ice cream or something, rent a movie, etc......
or a night at dave and busters with friends?
or a sleepover at your house - mani/ped theme, movie theme, beading theme, etc...

oooh...or would she be interested in a "mom and me" weekened somewhere? (or a family trip somewhere?) - based on her interests (an instrument, art, etc)

I remember in high school, for one of my friends 16th birthday, a friends parent rented rooms in the marriot, and we had a bunch of friends there. We went in the pool and just hung out away from home. Of course the parents were there.

I think the city is a good idea too. Maybe a limo, dinner, hotel with a few friends? There are so many cool places in NYC that they can go. What is she into?

I did want a sweet sixteen either.
My birthday is the beginning of Nov, so my uncle and his friend took me and 3 of my best friends to great adventure in NJ for the day in a limo. It was awesome, i got some great pics, had a blast, and best of all the park was empty!

For my sweet-16, my sister and I (we're twins) each invited 10 friends to dinner at Bennigans. My mom rented the back room and we ordered what we wanted and chatted with our friends.

when i was 16 i didnt want a party either. so my parents rented us a limo and we went into the city to see a play. i know your stepdaughter doesnt like plays. so how about renting her and her friends a limo and they can go eat in the city, someplace fun like the hard rock, jeckly and hydes or sereditpitys and then maybe a movie or ice skating in the city.

I didnt want a Sweet 16 either, so my mom took my best friend and I on a cruise to the Bahamas...
I had the best time and was better than any party I could have had!!!
