Need help with kitten
I am going away this weekend for my brothers wedding. Friday - Monday. (ZOey, the new kitten I rescued) has fleas and needs to be brushed at least 2 or 3 times a day with a flea brush. The person coming to feed my other cat and dog is allergic to cats and can't handle the cat. She's just leaving food. If Zoey doesn't get brushed I may come home to a flea disaster and lose all the progress I've made. Plus, the vet said a ton of fleas can actually kill her.
I am wondering if anyone knows of a shelter or rescue that can take her in for the weekend and brush her until I come home. It seems crazy to be asking, but I don't know what else to do.
My friend declined because she is worrried about bringing fleas home with her , although that is unlikely the vet said. They tend to stay on the animal. (Plus she already feeds feral cats so Im sure she has been exposed to fleas)
I just don't know what else to do or have any other ideas. I can even have someone come to my house and keep Zoey in the garage , in a huge bin with blankets, her litter and her food.

Re: Need help with kitten
Does you vet board animals? We boarded Penny when we went on a cruise last year. We have three others and left them home while my parents came to feed/change the box.... but Penny had a UTI at the time and I didn't want to rely on my parents to go sniffing around for pee. I was afraid of coming home to a disaster. I don't remember what they charged us, but for a few days it shouldn't be bad. You should ask your vet if they do it or if they have a nearby place they recommend.

They do, but won't take her bc of the fleas.
I am honestly hoping that they fleas are gone by Friday and this won't even be a problem. I am washing all the bedding she is sleeping every day, I am brushing her every hour and getting as much off of her as possible. She is contained in the bathroom so I am vaccumming and washing the floor every day

Well, first I just wanna say that kitten is SO lucky she found you (or you found her.. either way ) because it seems like you're taking great care of her!
Hopefully they'll be gone by then... poor kid I don't have experience getting rid of fleas, but it seems like you're doing all you can!

Need help with kitten
Is she took young to get the flea pill? My cats had fleas a total of 1x and the vet gave them a 1 time pill that cleared up the fleas almost immediately.

The vet at Island Rescue said she had to be 2 lbs for any meds. (She's only 1lb, that little peanut)
I brushed her a bunch of times today and only got 1 flea off of her so I really think they are almost all gone, if not gone already. I am leaving tonmorrow and have someone coming to feed her but I can't ask her to comb her because she is allergic. So - I am going to take my chances and hope I don't have a huge set back when I come home on Monday.

Is it possible to bathe her? Like with the dish soap they use in oil slicks? (I have no idea, luckily my kitten didnt get her first flea until 2lbs and I was able to put her on frontline right away. I hate fleas!!
