Need help with menu ideas for 15 person baptism dinner.....
I don't know if I want to cater or cook myself for DD Baptism. It's only 15 people (our small family)
If I am at the church prior I need something that can be mostly prepped prior. Everyone will be following us to house afterwards.
I plan to have heavy appetizers and then dinner later on. So I will have time to cook stuff, but really don't want to spend the whole day in kitchen and not with family.
Any ideas???

I would cater as well. You are going to be too busy the morning of to be cooking.

I cooked all the food for DD and DS's baptisms and I had 60 people. There are plenty of things you can make the day or 2 before and just heat up and put into sterno trays. For their parities I made:
Ropa Vieja (Cuban Beef) Chicken Divan Penne Alla Vodka Large Tossed Salad Plus and assortment of appetizers and dips.
I also make a pasta with sausage in a pink sausage that is easily made ahead and all you have to do is cook the pasta then toss with sauce and put into the sterno.
