Need help with my skin
I need help with my skin.
I never really get blemishes or a pimple but I feel like lately, my skin just looks cr appy!
When I put my face makeup on, it seems like it seeps into my pores and it dries it out. It actually starts to look a bit flaky.
Can anyone recommend what I can do to make my face smooth again and what kind of face makeup will give me the clear overall coverage.
I know celebrities have makeup artists and such but I am looking for the look that Jennifer Lopez had when she performed on American Idol..a smooth, totally covering makeup.

Re: Need help with my skin
I think its actually deeper than the makeup - I have dry skin, and it sounds like you do, too!
I would get a good moisturizer - try applying it for a week or 2 and see if that makes a difference

Re: Need help with my skin
try a heavier moisturizer and wait about 10 minutes before applying your makeup. I just bought prescriptives newest foundation(i cant think of the name) but it gives great coverage w/a "dewey" finish-and I am loving it.I also mix a little of my moisturizer w/my foundation before applying it.
Also-i just bought Estée Lauder Idealist Skin Refinisher-it's a little on the $$ side, but this stuff is my new discovery and i LOVE it!!! i put it on after my moisturizer-before makeup-and it makes my skin look flawless-like i have no pores, and my makeup goes on so evenly.

I'm a huge fan of Vitamins and Biotin Pills!! I tell everyone about it and they use them and say it does work!! I have been taking them for years and my skin is great. Try them out you will see a difference and also Water

Re: Need help with my skin
What about getting a facial? That usually brings my skin back to where it was.
Drink a ton of water and I love using Cetaphil moisturizing creme at night. It hydrates my skin w/o drying it out.
Taking vitamins also helps too!
I'm sure this weather and the change of seasons isn't helping much either!

Re: Need help with my skin
also, i posted the other day about olay microdermabrasion/peel treatment.
it made a HUGE difference on my skin. my skin was looking so dull and it brightened my skin and smoothed it. it didnt irritate it either. the dead skin cells that you dont even realize are there make your skin dull.

Re: Need help with my skin
I'm finding that lately my skin is softer, and I've been really trying to drink 8 glasses of water a day, and using Olay Regenerist Night cream. I find that it makes my skin very smooth and soft, and if I stay hydrated it lasts until the next morning.
