Need hugs and good vibes

My grandmother's been in the hospital for a couple of weeks at first because she had fluid in her lungs due to congestive heart failure...newly diagnosed. They did a ct scan and saw some abnormality, but could have been an infection. Yesterday they did a PET scan and preliminary results are in and it's lung cancer. Good news is that nothing else lit up on the pet scan. So hopefully, it's contained. I'm waiting on a call from the surgeon to discuss what's next..probably a biopsy.

She's 87, lives in assisted living, but was pretty active for someone her age. I'm her only relative. I don't know what the next few months will bring, but I need the strength to keep my head above water and to keep her comfortable and give her some dignity for the rest of her days with us.

My grandmother is 3 years cancer free this year. She had only a small spot on her right lung so they removed the entire middle lobe, and she is turning 80 this year and doing perfectly. I hope your grandmother has the same success!

We're still waiting on some repeat test results before we decide what to do. So many variables.
