Need ideas for a block crawl theme...
So my block is having a block crawl. Every house participating needs to come up with a theme for their food and beverage. Everyone will stay at the house for 30 minutes and then move onto the next house, so it needs to be something easy and quick. So far i'm thinking of maybe having an evening brunch theme and have bloody marys and mimosa and some muffins and baked goods... any suggestions?

Easy and Quick? Mexican!
Taquitos, chips and salsa, guacamole, tacos, burritos, empanadas.. and for drinks? Sangria, Margaritas and Corona or Dos Eckes!
ETA: Also love brunch for dinner - that's a GREAT idea! I'd do baked french toast and a bacon and potato frittata with a platter of croissants, muffins and rolls. A nice fruit salad is good too!

Rachael Ray did this omlet dish in mini muffin tins w/ bacon on top ---
you could prob do others with other "omlet"-type ingredients... maybe salmon, a cube of cheese, feta, spinach & tomatoe
If you are thinking bruch - do a search for restaurant menus that have a brunch -

Each year I do a Pumpkin Carving Party/Soup supper w/ drinks (spiked cider) apps, & 4 different kinds of soup/breads/salad, etc. It is always a big hit! Takes the place of a traditional Halloween Party & everyone gets a Jack o lantern! (It's BYOP...bring your own pumpkin)
The soups are easy - they can warm on the stove while you are at the other houses.
