Need ideas for a quick and close get away..
This board gets much more traffic than Travel, so I hope that someone can help me out.
I am 31 weeks pg and dh and I want (need) a weekend away before the baby comes.
It won't be until January, so I'll be even further along, and I don't want to go further than 3 hrs away.
Can anyone suggest somewhere where we can just escape for a weekend? I don't want to fly (they won't let me at that time anyway), and I don't want to go into the city (DH works in the city and wants to get away from that).

how about the saybrook point inn and spa?

DH and i went last year and LOVED it. it's gorgeous even in winter and the rooms are soooo cozy.
