Need ideas for Inexpensive outdoor lighting
We are having Sophia's birthday party in our back yard in a few weeks and we need some ideas for outside lighting. We have two lights on the back side of the house - 1 on each side of the sliders, but its not enough lights.
Thanks

paper lanterns?
how about christmas twinkle lights? you can run them all along the fence and any trees?
tiki torches
even those cheapie home depot lamps with the clamps on them.. you can make or buy cheapie lampshades (walmart sells paper shades that look like the real thing)

Problem is I have no trees....There will be small children running around so I dont want to use tiki torches.

How late is the party that you're going to need lighting? What about a tent with lights in it?

Re: Need ideas for Inexpensive outdoor lighting
You could order some paper luminary bags from Oriental Trading and put some battery operated tea lights in them to put around the perimeter of the yard.

Christmas lights!
DH just ran some white ones around our back deck and they look so pretty.
I also recently saw a blog where they had the big, colorful ones strung up in the air on poles for a 4th of July party and they looked nice, vintage-y and not trashy.
