need ideas... now that i am pregnant..
my mother and i go on an anual spa day for her brithday.. this year I am pregnant and can't really do the spa thing (hot tub, sauna, steam room..) have any ideas on what we can do. We can still do a massage but what else. we usually take the whole day...

are you looking to stay with the spa day? you could still do massage, mani/pedi, facial.....or are you looking for something totally different?

How far along are u now? A massage in your first trimester is highly discouraged. There have been many reports of early miscarriage during this time -- supposedly related to the release in toxins that occurs with deep tissue massage. On that same note, be careful of a pedicure .... let them know you're preggo and they'll go very easy on the foot rub.

my DH got me a full day at the spa and it was GREAT!!!!! I was 27weeks at the time and had:
Massage
Facial
Lunch
Mani-Pedi
Hair cut
Make-up application
But.....whle it was great, I was so tired when it was done. I told him if he wanted to do that for me again, I'd be happy with just a massage and facial. Then mani-pedi on another day.

my mom and i do the same thing each summer. this summer i was only 5 weeks pregnant and was extrememly naseous. i almost puked during the massage. but this is not to discourage you!!! because we also got awesome hot rock pedictures, ayurvedic hair treatment and some other nice little goodies!!

I'm surprised they let you get one - most spas/MDs say to wait until after the first trimester.
I would def. recommend a prenatal massage and mani/pedi Dee - enjoy the pampering while you can

Day of beauty, Mani, Pedi facial hair and makeup. Then afterwards you could get your husbands and all go out for dinner.

my ob said it was fine and the spa simply turned off the heat pad that was on the massage table. i am glad i was able to do it, because it all felt good!
