Need kid and pet friendly solution to ants!!!
We keep getting them in our kitchen and it's so disgusting. Can anyone suggest any products we can use? Thanks!
ETA: Tried cinnamon already, didn't work this time. They just keep coming back.

Windex with vinegar was the only thing that worked to keep them away from my countertops...
2 yo kept taking the stupid traps and hiding them in his car's 'trunk' or our dog would chew the traps up. I feel your pain....

I did this in Basic training to keep them away. We would put them in our sleeping bags when on an FTX to keep them out of our sleeping bags. It worked not sure how well this would work in a house. But Boric Acid works great!!! HTH

I stole this tip from JennB BUT you have to try the Clorox Greenworks All Purpose Cleaner. I use it all over my kitchen and we stopped getting ants. We had an infestation before we started using it!! We were about to call an exterminator, which I heard is pointless anyway unless you want to keep up with it.
I started getting them marching out of my light fixtures  sprayed the greenworks all over the ceiling and the next morning they were all gone (other than the dead ones)
Definitely try it!

I have the same problem- dog, cats, baby, and ants.
We used an organic insecticide called "EcoSmart" and it did the trick. It smells weird though- kinda like root beer candies- but not really in a good way...

This usually works for a few days for me, but then just when I think I got rid of them for good, they're back.

I bought this and sprayed around our patio perimeter to prevent them...I didn't realize the smell would last FOREVER...and it's exactly like a gross root beer candy (reminds me of SimpleGreen spray). Needless to say I was SO nauseated by the smell I will never use it again. Plus the ants are all back!

we have MILLIONS of little ants its so so gross. I am a super clean person so it makes me feel like my home is dirty but our landlord and neighbors were saying that ants come with the south of Merrick territory around here.
Since I'm pregnant and we have 2 cats we bought the eco spray too that you girls were talking about and OH MY it smells nasty. Our apartment is small too so the scent had no where to go but linger FOREVER. It smelled like those spice drop candies to me. Worked good though, but they are back a month or so later so we bought Raid. It doesn't smell and I make sure the cats and I aren't around.
