Need Medicine Help-TMI
Ok, so I think I have a small bout of food poisining. I've been miserable for 2 days and I'm uncomfortable. I wish I didn't come into work today.
Which over-the-counter remedy would you recommend (I never take meds so I truely am clueless)

If it is food poisoning, meds will keep it in your body longer. You cannot take anything you have to let it all out. Same goes with a virus. It is very dangerous to try to "keep it in"!

i agree with tilde, do not take anything, you are only going to make it worst by taking one of them, what ever it is that is in you system needs to get out

I agree with the PP's...
It stinks and of course you want to stop the awful symptoms you are feeling- but you need to let it run it's course.
Vomitting and the runs are your body's way of ridding itself of toxins and viruses, etc.
Just make sure you stay hydrated as much as you can!

taking one just makes it worse Sorry
i knowthis sounds silly, but i had food poisoning b4 and i too had a sore butt, my dr told me to go to the local drug store and buy diaper rash cream and apply lightly , and trust me it worked wonders

I know it is awful. Last time I was sick I barely made it to the pharmacy. I am friendly with my pharmacist and he REFUSED to sell me anything, I was horrified! But in the end, I know he was right! I just suffered a bit more.

ok i kno its crazy but put an ice pak over ur underwear but um in the crack of ur butt--tmi i know..but it really helps!!!!!

get a sitz bath and soak your butt. Then use prep H wipes instead of TP.
That's it until this is all out of you.
Don't take anything. If it goes on for more than another few days call the doc.
Also, keep hydrated.
