Need More House Dust - Please Send It My Way!!
oh my newlywed loves, this short sale process is agonizing!
i will try to make this short:
we made an offer. 1st mortgage accepted. 2nd mortgage accepted but wants $2,600 on top of the offer amount. DH and I have the $$ so we tell everyone involved we'll put up the difference. for whatever reasons we, technically as the buyers, are not allowed to put up the money. we tried to figure out ways around it for about a week but nothing. the only solution is to have the seller pay the funds.
we found out today that the seller is willing to sign a note for the money at closing. so basically we are asking the 2nd to take out a loan with the seller for the remaining balance in order to release the lien on the mortgage...
now we are waiting on the 2nd mortgage...
if they agree we should be able to close and get the house....
please send me good house vibes and well wishes  i have been waiting since january - i am  this can go through

Too bad you couldn't just give the $2,600.00 to the seller on the DL to pay the 2nd mortgage just to save you the time and agony of not knowing!

we thought of that - besides it being shady its that not easy since we are up here - we could have my parents get him a money order for us since they are down there - but going about it is risky - and then what if he just takes off with it or we dont get to close for other reasons? then we'd be out the $$.....and the realtors want no part in that....they wont let us do it - so im a little nervous, i dont want to get into trouble
i hate waiting....if we dont get this house im going to be so sad

can you believe we are still waiting?!?!?
i am hoping we find out today.....in the meantime i am stalking the mls and there is something else we like and would put an offer on but of course its another freaking short sale  but i think if we dont get this we'll just put the offer on and keep looking for other things in the meantime.......
this s-u-c-k-s big moose balls - i hate waiting!!
