Need multivitamin rec's...

DH and I went to GNC yesterday b/c DH needed to get more multivitamins for himself and I decided I should probably get some too (since i'm a picky eater and eat barely any protein).

I can't swallow pills... I can barely swallow an aleve and I always have to do it over the sink b/c sometimes it doesn't go down and I have to spit it out. Usually have to take it in a spoon of apple sauce. Chat Icon

So the guy at GNC recommended Women's Ultra Mega in a powder form (strawberry flavor). I tried it this morning and it's so chalky and gross! I could only get through 1/2 the glass before gagging... sorry TMI. I can't see drinking that every single day, but I know i need it.

Can anyone recommend anything else for me... maybe a chewable or a smaller pill??? TIA!

Just went to the Viactiv site and they have a chocolate-cherry flavored chewable multi-vitamin now (plus $1 off coupon that you can print out):

I know I once took gnc b-complex in a liquid(I just put it in a small glass of water or juice) maybe they have the multi vitamin in this liquid? If you're going to take a multi, I think just the basic multi is good (not the high potency ones- jmo) so maybe the chewable flinstones are ok.

Oh great idea, didn't even think of flintstones!!! Chat Icon That might actually be perfect for me.

We're going to go to GNC later to return the one I got and see what they say also. I don't want to be talked into something I don't need or will just waste my $$ on.

I'm going to check out viactiv too, thanks.

Thanks!! When we go to GNC i'm going to ask about this one. And it has no aspartame.

What about protein though... I eat eggs & chicken, but not enough. Is there something I can take for protein?

DH usually has protein shakes for breakfast.

He uses the GNC Whey Protein Powder . He usually mixes it with fruit and yogurt. I also have it once in a while. It is actually pretty good - and the powder is available in a bunch of different flavors.

My sister has this same problem. And for the past twenty years she has been taking childrens multivitamins. She is healthy as ever and her doctor says she is well nourished(and she basically eats skittles all dayChat Icon )

I would NOT recommend One a Day for women, the pills are HUGE.
