Need new hair colorists desperately

Hi ladies,

This is my first time venturing over to this boardChat Icon

I am desperate for a new coloristChat Icon I'm about 80% WHITE grey roots... yup. Since moving to my area, I've been to two hair salons and neither could get it right after numerous attemptsChat Icon I was often left with a lighter brown streak at my roots in contrast to my darker hairChat Icon Then I have to go back the next day or stay in the chair later. I never had this problem with my colorist in Nassau.

I can't mention the names of the places as several girls go to the one I'm leaving now... I gave her 5 tries to get it right, the first time, and I'm frustrated.

Can anyone recommend a good colorist in Northport, East Northport, Commack?

I have to keep it close to home as time is precious these days.

Hey...that's my colouristChat Icon

I use at home stuff too - generally Garnier or Loreal cuz they are less drying.

Thanks but it doesn't cover for the amount of grey I have. Nothing over the counter does... I've tried it all. I need permanent single process.

My hair does not take color well, hence the lighter brown streak in my part area when the professionals don't give me a strong enough formula.

I go to Sally's and mix my own...and I add....oooh, the name escapes me...grey b gone? Noooooo...anyway, its this liquid that helps cover grey. You just add it to the mixed dye (I use Wella). I am also very grey and its hard to cover...It's very easy to do.

I like doing my own...I can play with the color if I'm in the mood, and it saves me time and money as well Chat Icon

Re: Need new hair colorists desperately

I love Domani in Woodbury. I was going there for about 10 years before I moved and I have never had a bad experience. I know it's not in your list of towns, but it is on the North Shore on Woodbury Road, so it may not be too far from you...

Let me know if you would like more info! Good luck. I recently moved and I know how frustruating it is not to have a good colorist!

Michelle at Meridian in Commack. She is AMAZING... I seriously have never had a better colorist, and I've been coloring my hair for almost 20 years and have been to some super expensive places in the city.
