Need Opinions - Teacher Appreciation Day related
Ok so DS is in daycare and they are taking up a collection of $15 per child to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week and get little things each day for the teachers. Which is great, I'm glad they're doing that for them so nobody is left out. For some reason they are celebrating it a week late (may 13-17). So I was thinking of getting little things for his teachers on the actual day, May 7th. They really do so much for him and I want to show them how much I appreciate it.
Here's my thing: DS recently transitioned from the infant room to the wobbler room. Like 2 weeks ago. He loves his infant room teachers. I'm definitely getting something for his new teachers but do you think I should get something for his old teachers too? He wasn't in daycare last year during Teacher Appreciation Week. I've gotten them Christmas gifts and little treats here and there. But I was thinking of getting them something for this as well. What do you think? Also, any ideas on what to get? Thanks!

Personally, I would. DD transitioned not too long before Christmas last year, so I got everyone gifts. It was a PITA because there are 3 per class and then additional staff, so it was a lot, but everyone deserved a little something IMO.

I did the same for my first DS.
I don't think it's expected but, it's a nice and thoughtful gesture.
For teacher appreciation, I usually do something like cookies or an edible arrangement (people really don't do it much at our school).
I did see a cute idea on Etsy and I used it when DS 1 moved classes last summer - it was one of those straw cups filled with ice tea packets and a little note on it saying "Thank You For Being My TEAcher"

I think it would be nice, but not necessary. Maybe you can do one thing for the room, rather then a gift for each teacher. Like an edible basket of fruit of muffins.
