need opinions please- baby furniture
do you consider white furniture (distressed) to be more boy, girl or for both? I like one set but we are not finding out what it's going to be. If we have a boy, would white be too girley?

I've always associated white with a little girl's room. I'm sure depending on the bedding set and room paint it can be nice for a boy.
I definitely think that the distressed look is more girly.

I would automatically say girl but if I think about it, if the white is accented with boy colors, it could look really nice. The only thing is that I can't picture it as he gets older.

i just was thinking that for a boy even as he gets older a nautical theme would go good with the distressed

We did a nautical theme in Coles room. He has a white sleigh crib and white dresser and changing table. I love white for a nursery, and since Cole is our first, we'll buy him "big boy furniture" when we have the next one and then that baby can have the white furniture.

Re: need opinions please- baby furniture
I LOVE it for a little girl's room but if the rest of the room is decorated for a boy then it can look great too. My BF has white nursery furniture she didn't know what she was having for her first. She went neutral with blue and white ginham for the beding and decorations. The second time she had a boy. She kept the same furniture and she decorated with a car and truck theme and it looks great!

Re: need opinions please- baby furniture
I think it can go either way. All depends on the actual design of the set and the comforter set being used with it. I couldn't go white because the comforter set I fell in love with had an ecru background, it would have looked dirty. BTW I love nautical for a boy.....so cute!!

I think it would depend on the style furniture (I know you want the distressed, but some cribs to me look a little more girly)...but, I think white could go either way.

I think that would look great with maybe a deep blue or green. Hey they are even putting black furniture in nurseries now so do what you like. The baby won't even know trust me!
