Need ped. recc - South Shore Nassau County
PLEASE!
We're not really happy with the ped. that we have been going to since we got back to NY. It's actually the ped. my mom used wiht my brother and I! He and his partner are great doctors but we just have very different views on things and I don't really feel comfortable with them.
For example, our ped. in San Diego told us that Loey can eat whatever we are eating besides honey & eggs.... just pureed. This ped. said he should be eating yellow fruits and vegetables.
We're in Atlantic Beach.... we'd take one in Long Beach, Oceanside, Lawrence, Cedarhurst, Hewlett, Woodmere, East Rockaway, etc.
We're looking for someone who is really up-to-date on current research, has a laid-back non-panic approach to care, is warm with children, etc.
I need someone who with help with the feeding/choking issues too.

I know my friend who lives in Island Park is happy with her ped. I will get the name for you
ETA: Beach Pediatrics, Long Beach Road Island Park 897-5000. She sees Dr. Jonisch. She is very happy with them (and she is super picky LOL)

Dr Steinfeld and Amoona in Hewlett...
I cannot say enough about them...they're older but amazing...I am seen at a drop of a dime..All there phones are diverted to their cell phones at off hours and they either pick up right away or give you a call back in less than 5 minutes. The office staff is great...I happen to like Steinfeld a bit more..he's a bit "rougher" with Chels, but is on top of his game, while Amoona is def much softer with her, but I don't feel as thorough!!!
ETA: They have weekend hours too

We go to Long Island Pediatrics in Cedarhurst and I LOVE them. They are a big group so I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for. FM me if you have any questions.

I goto Dr. Lanzone in Long Beach on National Blvd. She is wonderful, very laid back and both of my kids love her.
