Re: Need recommendation for a Neuro-Oncologist and/or Neurosurgeon
My brother had two fantastic surgeons when he was hurt.
I remember the County Executive and Commissioner telling me they told the President of the hospital that they wanted the best and that they would fly them in if they had to b/c, at that point, his life literally depended on it. The President, without hesitation, said Dr. Ashesh Mehta and Dr. Salvatore Insinga of North Shore/LIJ Manhasset. They saved his life and the brilliance of these two men - it's just amazing

Re: Need recommendation for a Neuro-Oncologist and/or Neurosurgeon
Thank you so much!!! I am so happy to have someone to look into that comes recommended. I never thought I'd be looking for a brain surgeon (it's not for me, but a family member)..... We want to see at least 2 asap to find out the next step - we found one at NYU we hope to see this week.
Now off to check to see if they take our insurance. That's the trouble we've been running into too...
