Need recommendation for someone to remove a load-bearing wall
I want to remove a load-bearing wall from my house and need someone who knows how to do it. Thanks

I would make sure I check with an engineer first! Don't let some handyman nail a few 2x10's together and span the ceiling. IT WILL SAG! Have them use an engineered header like the ones made by "Better Header" etc that will properly support the load.

We had a support pole removed and replaced by a steel beam. Not sure if its the same as removing a load bearing wall. It was a lot of work. I'll ask my DH who he used.
