Need recommendations - hosting an event in Nassau County
I am looking to host a cocktail/networking marketing event for a documentary that my company is airing on PBS.
It doesn't necessarily need to be at a restaurant, but could be, need a private room and the ability to cater food,
HELP!!!
TIA

What kind of documentary? Maybe we can find somewhere that ties in somehow.
Oh, and how many people? Do you need space to set up a tv or screen?

It is on Retirement Planning - it documents the financial challenges and solutions facing America.
probably 50 people or so, and would need to be able to play a dvd

What about a hotel? Most have nice, large conference rooms with AV stuff and could also cater it.

Oh, this week's Newsday had a pullout of all conference centers/restaurants, etc for things such as this. That would be really helpful to you. I wonder if Newsday website has the info?

Sorry, had to run out.
My bridal and baby showers were at Peppercorn's in Hicksville. They have a big room that would def. accomodate your crowd and I'm sure they can help you set up a tv or whatever.
The LI Convention & Visitors Bureau has a department that helps you find venues for meetings. Here's a link
Kotka and I used to work there. They are really good at helping you find locations, even at the last minute.
