Need recommendations for 1st Bday Party
I currently live in a co op and my twins first birthday is coming up fast, Sept 12th. I would love to have their party outside but I am not sure where to have it. I am looking for a park that has a good playground and a covered pinic area in case it rains.
I am open to any suggestions even if it is an indoor space. There are going to be 25 kids under the age 11 invited so I want something that will keep them all occupied.

What area?
Crabmeadow Beach has a nice spot. So does Elwood Park.

Where do you live??
Belmont Lake State Park, Cedar Creek, Hempstead Lake (not sure if they have covered areas)...there are tons of parks, just need to find one convenient for you.

Then Cedar Creek would be a great option -- halisa (she's on multiples board) had her twins' party there and it was great -- a covered area, right next to the playground. They had picnic tables and BBQs.

If you are open to traveling the Mount Sinai Heritage Park is nice and you can rent the indoor space for the adults.
I also had a first b-day at Dave and Busters -- they did a really nice job. While the 1 year old was just amazed by the lights and sounds the older kids and adults had a great time.

We are having DS 1st birthday party at Cedar Creek (Grove Field)
Park Permit is $155 & the Liquor Permit was $45.
this the the covered area right by the Big playground.
The park permit is good for ALL day.
Dover Caterers are the exclusive caterers for this park, but you may be able to get around it, if you just have it catered with no catering staff or a caterer that will NOT advertise.
they set you up with tables for 100 people and they have BBQs to cook if you choose to BBQ yourself.
