Need recommendations for a house cleaner?
If you don't mind, if you have someone you'd recommend, please tell me who and also how much for how big a place. We've got a 3 bedroom house that I'd like done once a week or once every other week. No laundry or dishes required. TIA!

We use MerryMaids before we're going to entertain because we don't have a cleaning person (yet!) and they're a rip-off.
I guess the quality of the service depends on the people you get, but they're not worth what they charge. To give you an idea, we paid $300 the last time we used them. That was for 2 girls and I think they were here for 2 hours.

OMG $300 for one day on cleaning. Oh, I definitely can't afford that.

That's crazy....for $300 They better cook dinner then feed it to us, dress us&tuck us into bed, then go to work for my DH the next day!

Re: Need recommendations for a house cleaner?
I cant recommend anyone, Im still looking myself, but if you look in your local penny saver, there is usually a section where they'll list cleaning people/services. You can call them & they will usually give you an estimate over the phone. Its trial & error though-good help is real hard to find!

Re: Need recommendations for a house cleaner?
I posted an ad on craigslist last week and got a great response. I hired someone to start tomorrow, so I can let you know how it goes.
