Need recs for REPUTABLE HVAC company (long)

We dormered a couple of years ago and put in a brand new furnace and CAC compressor. Unfortunately, we were led to believe that these units, along with adding some duct work to our existing system would heat/cool our home - no such luck.

Our efficiency is horrible.

After calling the company shortly after the work was done, they basically told us that they never promised anywhere near 100% efficiency and that basically we were s&&t out of luck - nice, right? I know you're probably thinking "sue their a s s", but the ONE contract after all the work done after the dormer that is missing is the HVAC contract - which had been left out on the counter that morning so we could call them in....things that make you go hmmmmm....

We have called major companies like Sears, Slomins, Meenan, Petro and none of them will touch the job. They specialize in new installs or replacements - not repairs.

We believe we not only need separate upstairs units, but also duct work modifications (the heating duct work and ac duct work really should be separate and the ducts aren't big enough) - that's why they won't touch it (duct work). They don't want to fix someone else's mess. They all recommend we get in touch with a smaller company.

So after this long winded post, I'm wondering if anyone knows and trusts any HVAC companies. We were burned royally once and $13,000 later, we don't want it to happen again.
