need shower help- please~!!
My friend is getting married in september and her shower is this weekend. 2 of the other BM's and me were going to go in on a gift together, but we dont know what to get. We'd love to get her something nice but we dont have the money. We are already paying about $250 each for the shower, and i dont think she is aware of that- yet.
How do we tactfully let her know that her big gift is the shower, and what could we get her?
ps...our dresses cost about $280 each too!

If the three of you chip in (even as low as $25 each) you could get her some glasses or a blender or something along those lines. That should be enough. I was in a wedding party that ended up costing a lot more than I expected, so for a shower gift I got my friend two boxes of glasses she had registered for...and spent $50. But, I didn't really like anyone else in her BP, so I wasn't go to chip in...besides, they ended up spending another $150 each on gifts. I just couldn't afford to do that.

I would try to go in on a gift together--so she will have something to open.

Could you make a scrapbook or photo album of her and all her BM's throughout the years? That was something we did for my girlfriend for her shower and she absolutely loved it.
