Need snack ideas
I am attempting to drop some lbs I have put on since the wedding! I just can't seem to curb my appetite. I drink water all day long! I am looking for some snack ideas.
For instance, I had my lunch (grilled chicken with mixed veggies & some grapes) @ 12! I am sitting here starving now! I just started to eat a pear!!!
Help please!!!!!

Re: Need snack ideas
Almonds are a good snack and what I used to do was pair them w/a snack pack of raisins. I would get the prepackaged almonds from Trader Joe's, portion control
Granny Smith Apple w/unsalted PB
I also used to eat Luna bars which actually were tasty and held me over.
Just a few suggestions

Re: Need snack ideas
A lowfat yogurt is good, you could mix in a quarter cup of a high fiber cereal to make it more filling.
Microwave popcorn is also good. I find the Orville Reddenbocker (sp?) 94% Fat Free Movie Theatre Butter Flavor is really tasty.
Those Kashi Go Lean Crunch bars are really good too. Just drink a lot of water with it or you're in for a WORLD of hurt!
I also agree with the almonds! Very tasty!

Re: Need snack ideas
have All natural peanut butter, or a serving of nuts, or a non fat cottage cheese at 2:30-3:00. you need protein with every meal.

Re: Need snack ideas
One really good snack tip that I've picked up is to take your bag of pretzels or whatever you buy and put them into ziploc bags and then put those bags back into the package. This way when you go to grab a snack you're only eating one serving of it, instead of just sitting there with the bag and eating more then one serving. I have found that this helps with my snacking. Usually it is OK to have a snack but it's portions that really get you. Also things like the 100 cal packs are good too because they are portion controlled.

Re: Need snack ideas
I Love, Love the greek yogurt that snowboardgrl recommended to me!
It is so yummy with almonds, fruit (blueberries or bananas or strawberries) and a sprinkle of splenda.
I also love natural peanut butter on a whole grain english muffin.

Re: Need snack ideas
Unsalted cashews I find are the best snack....any raw veggies are good too.
Me personally....I like protein shakes....they taste good and make you full. I recommend Pro Performance Isolated Soy Protein 95...vanilla flavored...you get it at GNC....make it with skim milk instead of water and its DELICIOUS
Might wanna try green tea pills if youre not sensitive to caffiene...its a good dieretic and i found it curbed my appetite
