Need some couch therapy... what would you do?

I am obsessed with my couch problems and wanted to some opinions. Two years ago my husband and I bought two blue fabric couches from Jennifer Convertibles for around $600. One had to be taken apart to be brought in the apartment (it was a very traumatic and costly experience - I'm sure other city dwellers can relate). They are lovely and comfortable. There is some sagging in the cushions but I think fixable.

We are now moving and are again confronted with needing to take the couch apart. We cannot find anyone to deal with the couch for under $300 (just the couch that needs to be taken apart, this does not include moving our entire apartment or even the smaller sofa).

A friend offered us a leather sectional. It's a dark teal-green. Not terribly attractive. It's big and has two recliners on both ends. It's probably about 7X7 and was purchased for about $3000. There's no hiding this piece of furniture. It's very comfortable. We could add that to our move for about $75.

I cannot seem to decide what to do! Do we keep our current couches and just pay the price to have them moved? Do we take the leather sectional, abuse it for a year or two and then buy something we really, really like? And... my husband wants a dog - leather or fabric? which would be less of a headache?

Sorry so long - this is driving me crazy! Any opinions woud be helpful!

I'd say, if you REALLY love the couches, it may be worth the time, effort and $ to bring them with you. As for the sectional, if you REALLY don't like it, it's not a great idea. You'll probably cringe every time you look at it!

Sorry if this wasn't much help, I'm sort of just thinking out loud here. But I'd say if you really love them and they're almost new, take them with you!
