I don't know of a place, but I suggest starting at the Wax Museum, then do some shopping, then take the R or the N down to China Town then walk over to Little Italy (it's only a few blocks away and actually right next to CT). Then, take the train back up to Penn to go home.

Re: Need some help! (NYC people please come in)
if you want dinner in little italy, then my suggestion is to start in Times Square and work your way down. By trains, I assume you mean subway? If that's the case, you can take any of the trains out of Penn Station to Times Square (A,C,E, 1,2,3). Then take the C downtown to Canal Street (I think.) That should drop you near chinatown.

Coming into Penn - walk through Time Square and hit up the Wax Museum. Then you can hit up shopping on 5th Avenue (34th Street to 57th Street) - where you can then take the R train downtown to WTC (get off at Cordtland Street) then you can either take a cab or train to China Town into Little Italy for dinner.

The Cortlandt St Station is actually closed because of all of the construction they are doing to connect the WTC to the Fulton/Broadway/Nassau. Station.
You'll be better off taking the 2-3 to Park Place and walking a couple of blocks or taking the E to World Trade Center.

This sounds like a good game plan- which train(subway) would I take from the WTC to china town- c?

I believe you can take the N/R back to Times Square. Also I highly recommend Il Cortile for dinner. Blew me away.

Il Cortile is delicious, but I think it's a bit dressy, no?

That's what I would do also. I can recommend Pellegrino's on Mulberry Street in Little Italy.

My favorite place in Little Italiy is Da Nico and you can defniitely wear jeans. If it's nice you can eat outside in their little garden area.
Use Hopstop to plot out all of your subway/bus trips.

Not at all. I've gone there very casual. I guess it could go either way. I just love the food and the way they treat you there.

Re: Need some help! (NYC people please come in)
OK need some more help:
Right now my game plan is:
Arrive to Penn walk down through times square and go to wax museum- shop 5th ave take E train downtown to WTC- take r train to Canal/ China town- walk through little Italy.. and then take the subway back into times square...
We are no longer eating in little italy- we wanna go to that Dinner- the broadwayish one- where the dance and sing and stuff... (anyone know the name and address of this place?)
Also- they would like to fit in the museum of modern art (11 West 53 Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues) possibly the empire state building and wall street (Is there anything for her to see/do there?)
I know I should be embarassed to say im a NYer... lol
Thank you all for all your help- you guys are awesome!

Re: Need some help! (NYC people please come in)
FYI - be prepared to spend at LEAST 2 hours in the wax museum, as well as the Empire State bldg - it's a vacation week for many and i'm sure the lines will be super long

Re: Need some help! (NYC people please come in)
I don't know about logistics/subways but honestly, sounds like way too much in one day.
Museum of Modern Art, wax museum, the WTC, Wall St., Chinatown, Times Square. It all sounded doable until you added MOMA.
eta. Excellent call to go in on Thursday. I'm dreading tomorrow's train ride home with the circus & matinee day.

I think she just wants to shop in the MOMA- not actually walk around...
