need some input - how to hang felt pennants in baby's room?

DS has a little sports bedroom theme, complete with 4 felt pennants. They're currently hung with double-sided tape about 3/4 from the top of the wall above his shea stadium seats, point down - like this:

The double-sided tape was great through the fall/winter, but i have to restick them to the wall almost everyday since it got warmer/more humid. The paint is almost totally flat (we're in an apt complex and didn't repaint). The tape is a foam tape specifically made for hanging things.

I'd prefer not to use tacks, because DS is nearly 1 and climbing and I can just see him climbing and yanking the pennant off the wall, sending the tacks flying.

I have some command strips I can try, but I think that'd be the same as the tape with the humidity/sticking problem.

WDYT?

Can you hang a 'clothesline'/string from one wall to the other and hold them up with clothespins? (Or run some thread through them and around the 'clothesline'.
