Need some lunch recommendations before my DD turns into a chicken nugget
I'm really at a loss on what to pack for her for lunch....I feel like she gets the same few things everyday. These are some of the things I pack:
Mac'N Cheese grilled cheese turkey and cheese chicken nuggets veggie pancakes Fish sticks
What else can I pack for her? I'm going shopping in a little bit so hopefully I can bring some new stuff home for her.TIA

I know I get them at Traderr Joes, but I'm sure supermarkets carry them too in the organic section.

Re: Need some lunch recommendations before my DD turns into a chicken nugget
Ryan loves (even now and he is about to turn 4) the Gerber Meat sticks. I think they are a little gross but he loves them, its a good source of protein, its gerber and its sooo convenient.
I have the same problem with packed lunch too. They dont heat anything up. Fortunately DS likes room temp foods and he only goes twice a week. So he almost ALWAYS has chicken nuggets.

Unfortunately at this age that's about as good as it gets. As they get older and taste develops better they add more variety.
What about yogurt, cereal bars or a pb&j sandwich?

Trader Joe's only has the veggies..I get the others in Shoprite, I am sure other supermarkets carry them too--- try Stop n Shop also..
They are on the expensive side-3.99 a box..

Re: Need some lunch recommendations before my DD turns into a chicken nugget
In addition to the above suggestions:
baloney & cheese sandwich drinkable yogurt PB sandwich PB&F sandwich chicken cutlets cut in strips with ketchup to dip in Cream cheese & jelly sandwiches (i know ewww)
I use whole wheat bread only.
Good website to check out: http://www.keepkidshealthy.com
eta. another way of sneaking vegetables in is to make zucchini bread, sweet potato fries or cooked pasta shells with peas.

Fluff? Fluffernutter sandwiches? Not exactly the most nutritious but if it will get him to eat a whole sandwich instead of a few bites, it's worth it.

I was also going to suggest Dr. Praegers. They sell them in the grocery stores - frozen section.
every week I buy a roasted chicken that I give Talia. How about canned salmon, whole wheat pasta, steamed veggies, soy or turkey hot dogs, avacado, bananas, cut up apple or pears, melon, pancakes?

I have heard of it , but never had one. I think Fluff would be an evil thing in my house
Also DS hates PB, but even if he liked it his school is "nut-free"

Fluff is only offered to the neat eater in my house.
His school, meaning school district or daycare? I ask because I was surpirsed to find out that Joseph's wasn't nut-free.
eta. Sorry for the highjack Dani!

I am a very neat eater, but it would still be evil for me
and its his day care which is a school. That probably doesnt clear it up much.

Re: Need some lunch recommendations before my DD turns into a chicken nugget
Thanks so much for all of the suggestions.....I get the veggie pancakes at stop n'shop in the organic food isle in the freezer section...they are dr. Pragers. They have them at trader joes too.....Ava loves them but i don't have any problems with fruits or veggies....Ava loves them and will eat just about anything. It's hard to get her to eat any kind of protein. She doesn't even really like the nuggets anymore. Is it ok to give Peanut butter to a 15 month old....I haven't tried yet.
