need someone to install a new water heater ASAP!!! my son burned himself today! (nassau county)
my worst fear has happened. my son, who we watch like a hawk in the bathtub because of this issue, burned his hand on hot water. we have a very old coil heating system which gives you either SCALDING hot water, or no hot water at all. you can't adjust the temperature--i've had 3 plumbers in about that issue! i just have to replace it.
this was the last straw. i HAVE to get a water heater (tankless i guess?) installed. does anyone have any idea how much it would be? or someone reasonable who could help us figure out what to do? we currently don't have a water heater so this would be a new installation. we have oil heating if it matters and are in SW nassau county.
my son's hand is fine thank goodness. but it was scary and will NOT happen again!

I'm pretty sure you can get it done by Home Depot or Lowes.
I'm glad your DS is ok!

So sorry to hear that!
We replaced our hot water heater about 1 year ago by Keyspan. It was around 1K I believe. They were very fast (came the day we called and installed the next day).

I know a great company in Western Nassau but not sure how far they travel or where you are.

We had a tankless water heater installed a few years ago. The heater itself was about $850 and the installation was about $500. We had a local plumbing company oder the unit and passed his discount onto us (it was close to $1000 if we were to buy ourselves).
We have gas heat and the tankless heater is gas with electric ignition. Not sure if prices would be different for oil heat.
Definitley think its the way to go. WE never run out of hot water and we are definitely saving by having the water only heated on demand, and not being constantly heated in a 40-gal tank.
