Need suggestions for fall activities

The grandparents are coming to visit in Oct and I want to line up some fun outdoor activities like pumpkin picking, apple picking, etc. and I'd love to know where do you think is the best pumpkin and apple picking (there are so many to choose from) and why (not crowded, inexpensive, good pictures, etc) and do you have other suggestions for things to do with them?

Thanks!

Re: Need suggestions for fall activities

We went Apple picking last weekend out east at Wickham Farms- it was an absolute blast! We plan on starting a new family tradition by going every year

On the way home, we hit up Harbes Farm, and picked pumpkins right off the vine- again also a blast!

Neither of these places were terribly crowded, and IMO, both were affordable.

We also went to Briarmere Farms for some delicious pie!

There is also White Post Farms, which is great because they have a petting zoo, hay rides, pony rides, and pumpkin picking. It tends to be crowded, but it is alot of fun!

We loved Harbest farm!

Roasted corn, real pumpkin picking (not pumpkins thrown in a field, actually on the vine). They had a band playing. It was a blast! One thing I would try to do to avoid the crowds is to go during the week if you can.
