I'm going to have a small island in my kitchen (3x4.5 ft) and i jumped the gun and bought 2 small mini pendants lights for it (pic below) but come to find out i only have one box! do you think i should just put up one of these lights or will it look funny? if not, what type of mini pendant do you think i should i put up?

Do you mean one electrical box?

You can always run wire mold underneath for them.

Yes, only one electrical box. I think I'm just going to try and exchange them for one mini pendant light that can stand on its own. If there is such a thing.

to be honest, I don't think 1 of any light that small will look good.

I think you can go to home depot and buy another box for the other light.

I know it's just that my ceiling was just finished so I really can't go back and add another box. I have a pretty small kitchen with 8 high hats and a flush mount fixture in it already so I don't even really need an island pendant, I just like the look of them. Do you think something like this could stand on its own?

I misunderstood your post.

Honestly, if you are going to live there for a long time, I would hire an electrician to install more boxes. Is there an attic above? It shouldn't be too much money.

There is a bedroom above my kitchen. The whole ceiling was redone in my kitchen and everything is closed up now. Thanks for your suggestions. I think I'm going to wait until the cabinets are installed this weekend and then see what it looks like.
