Need sushi recommendations
I'm heading to Melville tomorrow and need to find some good sushi. I'll be coming from Queens. Anyone know of a good place that I can access from the LIE/ Northern State?

I cant remember the name of the place but there is a good sushi place just north of Jericho in Huntington Station on Rt 110....if you head north on 110, pass the walt whitman mall, cross over Route 110 and look to your left. You'll see it. Maybe someone here knows the name.

i havent been yet, but heard that a place in Hauppauge is outrageous. and forgot the name. anyone know ? (in the ACMoore shopping center I think).

Kotobuki is great. They have 2 locations, Hauppauge and Babylon.

Kotobuki is the only place I eat but Mrs wanted something near Melville. Mrs. if you want to travel, from Rt 110 take NSP to the end (where it turns into Veteran Memorial Highway) continue east for a couple of miles and Kotobuki is on the right hand side of the highway in the A/C More - Shop Rite Shopping Center. However.......now that I just thought about it...KOTOBUKI IS NOT OPEN ON MONDAYS!!!! 
ETS: I'm blind you're coming here on a Tuesday HOWEVER, Kotobuki IS open tomorrow!

My husband loves Nisen on Jericho Tpke in East Northport (in the Trader Joe's center). They also have a newer location in Woodbury.

Are you thinking of Kura Barn? It's good - - but about 5 miles north off the Northern State (on the west side of Rte 110/New York Avenue)....don't know if that's further than you wanted.
Empire Szechuan is right off the Northern State....DH loves sushi (Nisen in Commack is his favorite) and will get Empire if he wants takeout.

If you are coming from Queens to Melville, there are many places along the way. Either way, you won't find something right off the LIE. It will probably be a mile or so away from the expressway.
You probably want to stick to the north shore though. I highly recommend Kumo-Plainview (Round Swamp Rd exit)
