Need to be potty trained for pre-school?
I was wondering, do most pre-schools require the child to be potty trained before they start? TIA!

Re: Need to be potty trained for pre-school?
I answered this and now its not here
It depends. The one we are thinking of sending my son to doesn't require them to be. HE will be 3 in May though and is almost trained. I would just call the school to see.

Re: Need to be potty trained for pre-school?
Yes and no. Most of them say they need to be but they will accept them with a pull up with the hopes that they will see other kids using the potty and start to do it. My DS was not consistently using the potty in Aug and school was starting in Sept. He turned 3 in Oct. and was fully PT by the end of Nov. I know several other Moms who have sent their child in a pull up to other schools as well. I cant say there arent any schools who would flat out refuse to let your child enter but that's been my experience.

Aidan is signed up for Pre School in Spetember. They want him trained by August 1st
He'll be 3 in May and shows interest on and off for a while now, but nothing consistent.

Re: Need to be potty trained for pre-school?
My daughter started school at 2yr.4mths. In her 2 year class she did not have to be trained (but is). when she starts next yr. in the 3yr.old class they do require their students to be trained by 3.
