Need to lose lbs before a girls trip

So,the other girls I am going with are all super thin, I hate feeling like the "fat"girl. I am so down, I have been trying to do weight watchers and working out, but I'm so inconsistent. Truth is, if you saw me you'd probably think I look fine, but I am just not happy with myself and comparing my body to others is not good, I know. I really should be 15-20lbs lighter. I know this will not happen in 1 months (when we are going). What can I do to motivate and drops lbs quickly but in a healthy way? Tia Chat Icon

Don't be so down on yourself and try not to compare your body with others. I know it's easier said than done.

Realistically, you can probably lose 7-10 lbs. in 1 month with STRICT diet and exercise.

Download My Fitness Pal, Find your daily calorie Goal and stay within or just below it. Set it for 2lb. a week loss.

Cut out most carbs and sugar even down to the ketchup you'd add to something for taste. Stay away from salt!!! It's hidden everywhere. Eat Lean protein, Greens and veggies for snack. WATER. Try for a gallon a day.

Cardio at least 30 minutes everyday and lift weights (if you have a gym use some machines) Lifting burns a lot of calories.

It won't be easy, but if you are truly committed, it will work.

heavily restrict calories using a calorie counting app. but stick with eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and eliminating any sugar/carbs that are not healthy.

workout 20-45 minutes per day 6 days a week!

drink water. like a full water bottle right when you wake up and before every meal or snack.

limit food to before 7:30pm. don't eat after 8pm.


I did this and over two months lost like 15 pounds but of course i gained them all back after my vacation... Chat Icon

I've been trying to eat healthy and i workout 30 minutes every single day (6-7 times a week, really) but over the course of 10 months have only lost 4 pounds. its pathetic. 10 months of hard, hard work to lose 4 pounds. However, I am def. more muscle than fat lately. I only lose weight on the scale when I stop/restrict eating A LOT. (like i was able to lose 6 pounds in a month) Once i have even the slightest food binge, like 1 ice cream on the weekend of a good week, my weight is high.

I agree with the other comments - You can see quick results with a strick diet & working out daily for at least 30 minutes. I lost 10lbs my first round of the 21 day fix (a beachbody program) before I got pregnant with my 2nd son. You can easily do a similar diet without having to pay for the containers and workouts. Now I am doing the extreme version and with 3-4 rounds I have lost 20 lbs in the last 3 months.
