Need to pass a police officer agility test..need some help
I am due on 7/15. I have started the process of being investigated through SCPD. I was able to get a letter saying I can take the agility test in august after the baby is born.
I have approximately 4 weeks to get back into shape.
Any ideas for the best way to do this?
I have to be able to do
32 situps in 1 minute 15 push ups and run 1.5 miles in 15 min 5 seconds.
In the time from the baby is born till the actual agility test I will not be working so I can dedicate my self to a pretty strict workout plan.
Prior to being pregnant I am pretty confident I could do the situps and run. Now I'm not so sure.
Any suggestions? I walk now, obviously can't do any situps. Can I do anything for my arms?
Thanks!

Is there any way that you can push the test back? Because trying to get in shape that quickly after giving birth is really not the best idea. Even though I've exercised for years, my doctor warned me to take it easy for the first few weeks.
Not only that, but I don't know if you'll be able to do that many situps in 1 minute, especially if you have a c-section. I had a vaginal delivery and it took a pretty long time to strengthen my abs after I delivered (and I usually have super-strong abs and can do tons of situps very fast).

no i can't. the class is going to start in September.
If I have to have c-section I know that my chances are done.
My daughter was a vaginal so I'm hoping for another smooth delivery.

Hmmm....well, the only thing I can say is to maybe get a pregnancy Pilates exercise DVD to help strengthen your core. The only thing that will help with pushups is to do pushups, which you can start doing now (although you may not be able to go down too far with your belly in the way ).
