Need to vent
Why do people insist on coming into work sick? it is driving me insane... it seems like I have been catching everything from everybody... once I start to feel better, I catch something else... HOW RUDE  ok vent over

OMG this was a big pet peeve of mine BEFORE I got PG...now it just makes me downright mental. We have sick days folks.....USE THEM

I know...is what makes me more mad is my students who come into work sick...why send your kids in. These are high school kids too who are very capable of staying home by themselves.

I totally feel you, this one particular person who doesnt believe in taking OTC med has been sick, coughing, sneezing, just nasty. He comes to my desk everyday and tell me he doesnt feel well- UM great- thanks, can you STAY HOME! Finally he went to the dr yesterday and got antibiodics.

I totally agree with you!
But I have had this cough for a month and I have taken antibiotics and it is lingering. I can't take off sick from work for a month. I feel so bad for the people I work with.

I can understand you but this particular person has like 45 days of vacation that she didnt use yet, I think she could stay at home for a couple of days

Im so guilty of this...I've done it before but not bc I wanted to but bc I had to...we were working on a very important deal...luckily I took a few days off after it was over.
But I totally understand you and I would be upset myself!

I always got at this before and now I get even more annoyed. Even though I feel like I am fighting off a cold and I am here to give those germs to someone else so it will leave me.

I vented about this a few weeks ago when my supervisor came in with stomach flu and throwing up in the bathroom - all b/c she didn't want to get a doctor's note to stay home 3 days. We have unlimited (as long as not abused) sick days and if you are out 3 or more days you need a dr's note.
I also love the people who come in and say I think I have strep but I don't want to go get meds

That is different. You took antibiotics & are not contagious.
