Need to vent (but I know I am wrong) Update
I wanted to thank everyone for the FMs and offers to help. I can't thank you all enough...I really appreciate it!!
I also wanted to update...she decided to come through...and I really appreciate it. We just found out an hour ago.

That stinks! I know exactly how you feel. I too have similar issues w/ MIL...she never offers to help and though she is the "easiest" to have help me- I don't ask.

Ang - I can take him for a few hours on Sunday. We have a party out east but don't need to leave here until 3 or so. It would be great for the boys!!!!

I know how you feel, it is so hard to really get anything done with DC here. But don't beat yourself up about being "wrong" - it isn't wrong to ask for help. You did ask a few weeks ago and in my opinion, she should have told you she was going away for the weekend so you had a chance to make other arrangements. Anyway, good luck with everything!

Thank you so much..I really do appreciate it and I hate that I am venting about not having anyone to help...and then turn down you and Kate But Rich feels bad...and I kinda want him to (bad of me but I need to take it out on someone) so I am going to let him take Lucas for the day...he should spend time with him anyway...he won't be home on Tuesday for his real birthday.
I completely understand - but even if you need Rich for a few hours - just let me know - I can leave Jack here - run over to get Lucas for a few hours and then drop him off. We have a million things for him to play with here (of course) and a PNP (or crib) if he needed to nap!
