Need ur opinions on feeding schedule..please advise..

My twins are 14 months old (adjusted 11 months)..they absolutely HATE formula and are not taking whole milk straight yet. So, I did some research and still have to ask my peditriacian about this new feeding schedule. I used to give ds (4) 7oz bottles and dd (4) 5 oz bottles. Now, they are refusing to take their 4th bottle. So, for the past two days I dropped that last bottle. When I looked online, it said that at 11 months old (if I were to go by their adjusted age) that anywhere between 16-24 oz's of milk/formula is ok. What do u think? Are ur 11month olds down to three bottles per day?

Here is my new schedule for them:

6:30am bottle
8:00am Breakfast
9:00am to 10:00am nap
11:30am bottle
1:30pm lunch
3:00pm - 4:00pm nap
4:30 - 5:00pm bottle
6:00 dinner

I also give them snacks throughout the day...ex: some american cheese, puffs, etc.

Also, I tried this new schedule for two days and omitting the last bottle doesn't seem to be effecting their sleeping habits. They still sleep through the night.

Jo - Samantha was on a similar bottle schedule. Except her last bottle was just before bed. She took 5oz bottles as well.

I think your schedule is fine.

When you say bottle - is that formula? Or reg milk?

Once DD tasted solids at 4 months she didn't really like the formula after that. By 6 months she was maybe drinking 4oz a day. (I still tried all day long to get her to drink the formula, she just refused)


I give Katie about 10-15oz of milk a day but she rarely finishes it.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Right now, I am adding about 2ozs of milk and the rest is formula. Trying to transition them to milk.

When I say bottle, I mean a mix of formula and milk. I am hoping it becomes milk very soon.
