Neocate moms

Did your dc have severe constipation on it? Back in December Andy was unable to go for 2 weeks, we tried prune juice, prunes in his food, laxatives and finally suppositories after the doctor manually manipulated him finally worked. It was horrible, he was in so much pain. The doctor said this means the formula is working, just working too well for him.

Now we have to give him prune juice in his bottle 2x a day to keep things going, and sometimes that takes a day or 2 to work.

I'm wondering if this is a sign of future food allergies. The doctor said no, but sometimes I wonder if they just say that to keep you calm and then deal with it when the time comes, you know?

Thanks.

Yes, Ava had HORRIBLE constipation and every now and then does, still. So bad that it comes out like a rockChat Icon
But, after trying everything under the sun, I've found that giving her water, consistently, throughout the day has alleviated the problem. We tried everything before the water and that's what works! Chat Icon

Thanks. It's so awful, you know? They are so uncomfortable and don't understand what's going on. Chat Icon
