Nestle Good Start - how do you like it? Need advice please!!

DS has been on Similac Advance since birth. He is 5 weeks now and lately has had gas that mainly makes him fussy at night for about an hour. I called the pediatrician and they said to try the Nestle Good Start. I do not know why, but I have not been able to bring myself to try it. Right now, once we get him to sleep, he sleeps 4-5 hours. Also, he spits up a little after most feedings and just started doing this. Someone told me the Nestle is thinner and might cause more spitups I guess I'm afraid the Nestle might make him worse and I will wonder "what now"?. He just started getting gassy over the last week or so, which makes part of me wonder that it might not be the formula causing it. We bought mylicon and tried it last night, but not sure if that will be a fix-it either.

Just not sure what to do and wondering if anyone has any experience switching from Similac to Nestle. Plus, if it does make him worse, do I go back to the Similac?

Thank you..

Thanks - did any of you find that you had to feed them more since it was not as thick of a consistency?

I would give Cailen whatever I had coupons for - he was good with it, but never had too many spit up issues....

we had to switch our formula 4x before getting on Good Start. DS had reflux, gas & constipation! now 2mths later.. he poops on his own 2-3x a day. and doesn't seem to be in pain anymore. he does have gas here & there.. but it's normal. also, we switched his bottle. I went thru allllll the bottles on the market and settled on Playtex Adavnced Vent Aire. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! no gas no pains..
I tried Dr. Browns (the worst) then Born Free and Even Flo. I tried a few more in btwn and settled on Playtex's Vent Aire Advanced.

good luck!

forgot to mentioned that we used Good Start with Comfort proteins. this formula has the proteins broken down already so DC only has to digest it. My DS had a protein allergy.

We started with Good Start Supreme and DS was okay for a few wks then started vomitting up his whole bottle (even out of his nose) and getting fussy. We tried Enfamil Lipil, he had SO MUCH GAS! He's now on Similac Sensitive and does pretty good on it, min. spitting up and no crying or gas pains. It's Lactos free which seems to help. Good Luck!
