Well, since I don't stream anything, I will just switch to the DVD only plan and end up saving money!
Even if I did use both, I wouldn't be that upset. The new fee is probably what 2 movies tickets would cost, and for unlimited viewing for a month, I think it is still a pretty good deal and better than a premium cable channel, IMO.
ITA we did the same. We switched to 7.99 a month. I feel like we are watching move DVD's this summer then usual and in September when I go back to work I can always change the plan back.

I'm aggravated because we canceled HBO and HBO on demand for netflix because it was the cheaper option.
Now if I decided to go back to HBO, we would pay more because we were grandfathered at a lower rate and now we lost it.
But it still is a good deal if you use it.

We have movie channels at home, so we're getting rid of Netflix - but we would have done this even before the rate increase. This just solidifies our decision.

I dont know, pisses me off bc I dont watch 15.99 worth of movies a month, so I feel like Im being way overcharged.
This is my problem as well! I told DH he better buck up b/c we're going to watch a new movie every night now!
Me three. I think I'm gonna cancel.

Yup, we cancelled getting movies in the mail. We use the streaming 99% of the time anyway. I think the increase is rediculous.
This is what I am going to do.
I have never used the DVD option because if I really want to see a movie I just pick it up at a RedBox for $1. I'm not patient enough to wait for the mail. So actually, my price will be going down. And hopefully they will have a bigger selection available for streaming soon.
