Neti pot weirdness- what could it be?

Neti pot weirdness- what could it be?
So whenever I use my neti pot, it's fine on the right side, works the way it should. But when I use it on the other side, the water always runs into my mouth.  It does not matter what I do- change the angle of my head, change the angle of the pot.
Ideas? Am I doing something wrong?

You probably have a blockage.
I would try to use a little warmer water than usual to see if that loosens/breaks it up.
