nevermind....called airline for answer
I'm going tomorrow to Puerto Plata and I left my wristlet with my license in my desk at work....
Do I need it or is my passport sufficient enough?
I would really hate to go back since I just got home 5 minutes ago.

Your passport should be sufficient as long as you are not driving.
(My MIL doesn't have a driver's liscense, passport is enough).
