I think today, in 2016 it's totally egregious. But there was no precedent before she did it. No one seems to care about that, and frankly that has to have a plce. Colin Powell used an AOL account when he held the same position. AOL!!!
As a Clinton supporter, that's the sort of fact that lends credence to the idea that she's held to higher scrutiny because she's a woman, that there's been a political machine trying to take her down from the beginning and it makes it that much harder to swallow all of the allegations against her.
This.

I go back and forth between:
- being annoyed at her, that she had the private server, because she had to know it would come up later on.
and
- being fed up because to some degree this feels like a witch hunt. GWB's administration was just as bad, if not worse.
For me, in the long run, it comes down to the fact that Trump is simply not an option. I am concerned because I do feel she does stupid things out of a sense of entitlement, but I also feel like she is unfairly targeted, and should she be elected she will be obstructed through her whole term.
And this too.
The whole tiresome, ongoing scandal-that-won't-die is irritating to me because she is a whip-smart lady, and this was a dumb pitfall to create.
However, I also think of my very bright MIL who calls her computer files "programs" and refers to opening something as "downloading" it and thinks that her wifi-enabled blue ray player is "the metflicks" with an M. I think of the anonymous comments that came from former Clinton staffers who talked about her ignorance of computers, and I think of the other former secretaries of state who also did this (i.e. Powell AND Condy Rice) and were never subjected to this level of scrutiny. In fact, we didn't see this exposed until a chick had the gall to run for president. To me, this article says it all. Politicians have been at least part-dirty for as long as I've been alive to witness elections, but I think the relentless with HRC is rooted in misogyny in much the same way that a lot of the disrespect (*note: disrespect is different from dissent) directed at Barack Obama has been rooted in racist notions.
Benghazi soundbites alone prove the HRC/misogyny point. GWB ignored information about a potential attack on the United States because, jeez, so much intelligence comes in and it's all fine and well to look with hindsight and do all this Monday morning quarterbacking. 5,000 civilians died as a result and then his approval rating shot up to 92% after he barely won the election less than a year earlier, but Hillary gets pummeled in the news for years on end. The double-standard is so transparent that I can't even take it seriously anymore.

New FBI probe into Clinton's emails
Corruption everywhere. In our govt and with these clowns and the media.
Look at Donna Brazile, head of DNC, was working with CNN. Comes to light that she sent questions that she received ahead of a debate and passed them on. That's huge IMO.
Emails are the least of the issues.

This is sleazy, but it's pretty cut and dried, which I don't think applies to Trump and Manafort and all the money tied up with Russia.

But I look at this whole email thing like... she was trying to get sh*t done. I don't know anyone who HASN'T transferred work email or projects to thumb drives or personal email to work on things after hours to meet a deadline or to work when their company either did not have the technology for remoting-in or for whatever reason, the system was down.
And if people say that they have never, ever done that, I look at them like they are not very motivated at their job, or they are lying.
I work in a very large International investment bank. If I EVER did this, I assure you, I will be TERMINATED. We take quarterly training courses to make sure everyone understands this. It is NOT okay to do this. I'm very motivated at my job, and I'm not lying.
I completely agree. My family owned a government contracting company that was in business for 3 Presidential terms. Several close members of my family have/had various levels of security clearance. They worked in the NSA building, DOD building, the pentagon and Cheyenne mountain to name a few. The amount of training and reinforcement each person with security clearance receives is enormous. I find it impossible to believe any of this was an oversight or innocent. So many people with much less responsibility and/or power and respect have had their lives destroyed for much smaller offenses. I find it disgusting that tax dollars have to be wasted to investigate this, to me it's very obvious. I could never trust her judgement.

zzzzzzzzzzz I think this is a BS innuendo in the media to distract voters/take away votes. It's unprecedented, unwarranted, and it's fishy as hell. Maybe I watch too many government shows, but things definitely go bump in the night. This is one of those things.
