New here
Hi everyone Iam new to this board. I have a 8 year pld son starting 3rd grade this year. He is PDD/ADHD, speech and language delays.. At the end of last years meeting my son was declassifed and lost all sevices except speech, Im alittle conserered. I wasn't happy but the last couple weeks he has been having alot of anger out burst that included hitting, throwing things, crying. I dont know what to do. Should I contact the school as soon as school starts or wait to see how things go..As a side note he is not on any meds hasnt been in years.. thanks for listening and help would be great -Marie

Re: New here
Hi Marie! Welcome.
I would speak with the teacher on day one, let her know your concerns over the lack of services, and ask that you be told immediately if he's struggling or if the teacher has any concerns. I'd put in a written request immediately to have a program review at the end of the first quarter. This gives him enough time to adjust and you have enough feedback from his teacher/therapist. Of course if he's struggling badly within the first month you could always push the meeting up.
Good Luck!
