new here...sort of (long)

Hi evrybody! I'm a long time lurker of this board and a poster on other boards. I'm choosing to remain secret for because of people who know me but I'm not willing to share with yet.

Anyway I have been TTC since April but I wasn't diagnosed with PCOS until Sept. Apparently I've wasted a lot of time. Today I finally had my first appointment with an RE. So much info all at once!

I thought the appoinment would make me feel better but now I found out with all the preliminary tests he wants to run I can't even begin to think of TTC for a while longerChat Icon

I have other issues other than PCOS (more on that another time) and he mentioned IVF as the best possible route for us. I'm hopeful that this may be the answer I am looking for but now I'm worried about cost!

Thanx for letting me vent

Welcome.
I have a very similar story to you, wanted to get serious about TTC in the spring and got my PCOS diagnosis in June.

I'm also an anonymous poster. The women on the board are absolutely wonderful, the support on here is amazing. I honestly don't know what I would do without them.

Good luck to you!

It can be so overwhelming. On a positive note, it seems as if IVF will give you the best chance of success. Does your insurance cover it? Some do, or at least a few rounds of it.

Best of luck to you, hope it all works out.

With PCOS and another issue, your best bet by far is IVF. The success rate per try is much higher than that of IUI.

Good luck!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon
