Re: New Homes in West Hempstead
My parents and myself moved out of West Hempstead abour 3-4 years ago. We lived there our whole life. In fact my grandfather built the house we lived in.
The neighborhood just took a different turn.

I am pretty sure those are the houses right next to the Southern state, I don't like the location at all

They are not right next to Southern State at all. I actually really like W Hempstead.
It is weird though that they are in my SD Malverne though. I didn't know parts of W Hempstead go to Malverne.

Re: New Homes in West Hempstead
thats a nice area, my dad lives in west hempstead off of dogwood ave and its really really nice there- very italian. my dad moved in with his wife and she has lived there for over 30 years. her children went to Carey.
I guess it depends on which part of west hempstead turned bad.

I live off of Dogwood Ave in Franklin Square (this part is known as the Morton Estates). My mother lives 3 blocks away, also off of Dogwood Ave...but she is considered West Hempstead. It's gorgeous where she is.

The neighborhood just took a different turn. When you say took a different turn... in what way? I am not from the island... I live in westchester county, lookig to buy a home...seemed like a nice home( being brand new and all)
Thanks to all who posted a reply!

I agree - Joenick's neighborhood is super cute!! I wish I would have looked there when we were house hunting!
